Ballet (Pre Junior & Ballet 1)

Ballet is the foundation for all dance forms and improves strength, poise, balance, and control. Dancers will study the discipline of ballet following the Cecchetti Syllabus. The Cecchetti Method of ballet is a style of classical, theatrical ballet based on the teachings of the great Italian ballet master Enrico Cecchetti (1850-1928). Prestigious dance schools such as the School of Alberta Ballet practice this syllabus.

MKD The Space is committed to offering a strong ballet program that provides a solid technical foundation for developing dancers. We offer a program that is based on the world-class Cecchetti method. We are pleased to have Miss Miyouki Jeng from Victoria, BC who will be joining us for a hybrid program this year. Dancers will attend classes in the studio while Miss Miyouki joins us through a digital platform. An advanced assistant will be present to help with classroom order and physical corrections. Miss Miyouki will be flying to Fort McMurray intermittently to work with the kids on focused technique days. Miss Miyouki combines her passion for ballet, dance, nutrition, and holistic practices to provide classes that are empowering and inspiring to all!
